Accessibility Statement

Human in the Loop Inc. wants Speaker Follow to be usable by speakers and attendees of all abilities, on any device, whether checking in from a phone in a crowded room or reviewing responses from an admin dashboard.

1. Our commitment

We are working to make Speaker Follow accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.

2. Conformance target

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit against this standard, so we describe this as a target we are actively working toward rather than a certified conformance claim.

3. Measures we take

Measures already built into Speaker Follow include:

  • Semantic HTML for page structure, forms, and navigation, rather than generic elements with attached behavior.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Support for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference, which disables non-essential animation across the check-in flow, question board, and admin dashboard.
  • Larger touch targets and 16px form inputs on the mobile check-in and resources flow, to avoid automatic zoom and support touch and screen-reader users.
  • A responsive layout that adapts from mobile check-in to desktop admin views without loss of content.

We are continuing to test and improve color contrast, screen reader labeling, and keyboard navigation across the product.

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of Speaker Follow may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Speakers choose their own event brand colors; we provide sensible defaults, but a Speaker-selected color combination may not always meet contrast requirements.
  • Uploaded resources (such as slide decks or PDFs) and embedded third-party video (such as YouTube or Loom) are provided by Speakers and may not meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the Service.
  • We have not yet completed a full audit with assistive technology (such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver) across every flow.

5. Compatibility

Speaker Follow is built to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and with commonly used assistive technologies on desktop and mobile.

6. Feedback & contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier using Speaker Follow, please tell us. Include the page or feature involved, and the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, so we can reproduce and fix the issue.

Email hello@humanintheloop.com. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days.

7. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to file a complaint with the relevant regulator in your jurisdiction. We would nonetheless appreciate the opportunity to address your concern directly first.
